It's that time of year when we are ready to shop the latest trends and styles in swim and beachwear fashion. One piece swim suits, two piece bikinis, designer sunglasses, hats and jewelry, all create an ensemble built for fun in the sun leisure.

Santa Barbara is a quiet beach community 90 miles north of Los Angeles and 300 miles south of the San Francisco Bay. With the Channel Islands to the west and coastal mountain range to the east, Santa Barbara is nestled on the central coast boasting moderate temperatures and temperate climate throughout the year.

Known as the American Riviera, Santa Barbara is a special place first inhabited 13,000 years ago, History has it that a Portuguese explorer João Cabrilho (Spanish: Cabrillo), sailing for the Kingdom of Spain, sailed through what is now called the Santa Barbara Channel in 1542, anchoring briefly in the area. In 1602, Spanish maritime explorer Sebastián Vizcaíno gave the name "Santa Barbara" to the channel and also to one of the Channel Islands.

With rich heritage and Spanish Colonial architecture, the city is as scenic as the beaches are mesmerizing. Home to famous movie stars, super models, surfers and musicians, Santa Barbara is a favorite destination for Cruise ships and weekend travelers alike.
